Our latest Mountain Connection display features the mining industry highlighting Mineral King and the Empire mine along with other mines in Tulare County. There is so much to learn about Tulare County and this is a great way to learn more about mining!
When: Saturday, April 22 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: Tulare County Museum in Mooney Grove Park 27000 S. Mooney Blvd. Visalia 93277
Why: The museum is celebrating the re-opening of the Main Street Exhibit in the original museum building. This exhibit has been refurbished to reflect a new and improved Main Street. The original shops will be on display with improvements to help visitors learn about the General Store, Dentist Office, Doctor Office, and Barber Shop.
What: Food will be available for purchase from Tiki Snow. We will be offering train rides, there will be quilting demonstrations, there will be music playing as you wander through the Pioneer Village, Visalia Vapor Trailers Car Club will have a mini car show on display, and there will be different branches of Tulare County represented to give information on their services to our guests.
Who: This event is for anyone that is interested in learning about Tulare County History in a fun and engaging way!
