Embark on a journey back in time during Hopud Imaykihn Dautad (Roots Run Deep) to discover the culture of our local Native Americans. There will be so much to experience! Please see the schedule of events below:
10:00 AM - Opening Blessing/Song to immediately follow
10:30 AM - 3:00 PM - Classes will be given to teach the making of the following items: Pine needle baskets, caning baskets, tule ducks, dice game, beaded hair sticks, miniature cradle boards, and claps sticks.
12:00 - 1:00 PM - Guest Speaker Evelyn Malone will give a presentation with a video to follow in the theater
Throughout the day there will be Indian Tacos available for purchase, vendors selling jewelry and other items, and a raffle! With so much to see and do you can't miss out on this day!
When: Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 10 AM - 3 PM
Where: Tulare County Museum inside Mooney Grove Park
How: The event is free, but the park will charge $6 per vehicle to enter on that day (seniors enter free)
Who: This event is fun for the whole family!
