The Tulare County Museum is dedicated to educating the public about the exciting history of Tulare County and works to positively affect family heritage and the quality of life in Tulare County through exhibitions and tours. Tulare County Museum volunteers play a crucial role in interpreting museum exhibitions, maintaining historic buildings, and enriching visitors’ overall experience.
Volunteering at the museum offers a variety of ways to become involved, make friends, and have a good time! The museum is seeking volunteers for the following positions: Docents, Gallery Guides and Sitters, and Historic House Stewards. Volunteer work for these positions ranges from developing tours and interactive activities to caring for the buildings located in the museum’s Pioneer Village.
Our volunteers work hard and we love to recognize them for their hard work. All volunteers enjoy benefits including special volunteer visiting hours, a “first glimpse” of the rotating exhibition, and opportunities to attend museum lectures, tours, and events!
